A URL is usually made up of several parts. To understand the structure and the components, we will dismantle the following example URL:

1. The Protocol in use – in this case: HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol)
   • There are also other protocols like HTTPS, FTP and so on.
2. The Host or Hostname: www.youtube.com


3. The Subdomain: www.


4. The domain name (Domain): youtube.com


5. The Top-Level-Domain (a web-address suffix): .com
• (also known by the shorthand TLD) 
6.  The Path: /watch
   • A path will usually refer to a file or folder (directory) on the
     webserver (for example “/folder/file.html”)
7. Parameter and value: v (Parameter), QhcwLyyEjOA (Parameter value)
   • Parameters are initialised by the “?” inside the URL.
     In our example, the parameter name is “v” and its value is “QhcwLyyEjOA” (Parameter name and Parameter value always have the same structure: Parametername=Parametervalue)

General language use

If we talk about a URL, we usually mean the concrete path to a directory (http://www.domain.com/a-directory/) or a file (http://www.domain.com/documents/study.pdf) on a website.
It is, of course, not completely wrong to talk about a URL and simply mean the host- or domain name of a website, but we should try to use the correct terminology.

How to open a website

To view a website requires a browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Edge, Safari, Firefox, or Chrome). For example, you are reading this web page using a browser. Once in a browser, you can open a website by entering the URL in the address bar. For example, typing https://www.youtube.com opens the YouTube home page. If you don't know the URL of the website you want to visit, you can use a search engine to find the website on the Internet.

What is the difference between a website and web page?

A website refers to a central location that contains more than one web page or a series of web pages. For example, Computer Hope is considered a website, which contains thousands of different web pages, including the page you're reading now.

In the above URL example, the website is computerhope.com and the web page is "url.htm" and is always the last part of the URL.

Who creates websites on the Internet?

Any business, government, or person can create a website on the Internet. Today, the Internet consists of billions of websites created by billions of different people. You can even create a website or blog on the Internet.

Inadequate grammar, poor spelling, and bad taste. Consider what impressions your emails make on others. Follow these steps and improve your email etiquette.

Steps

1. Keep your email concise, conversational, and focused. Keep emails short and to the point. Many people only read the first few lines before deciding to respond or to save for later.
2. Avoid fancy formatting.
3. Limit attachments. Don't add an attachment unless really necessary. Keep attachments as small as possible. If you need to send a larger file, compress or zip it or use online services that will help you send large files such as WeTransfer.com. If you need to send multiple pages, such as meeting plans or large text corrections, send a fax or a typed set of pages in a letter.
4. Think before you send.  Only add the recipients and send it after you have had time to think about what you are sending; you might change your mind and be better off for it.
5. Be careful using abbreviations and emoticons.
6. Avoid prioritizing your messages for the recipient. Get out of the habit of marking every email as "Urgent!” or "High Priority"
7. Summarize long discussions. Instead of continuing to forward a message string, take a minute to summarize it for your reader.
8. Be sure to include info that you are responding to. Include the question that the recipient asked so they know what you are responding to. Avoid making the recipient scroll down more than a single message in the history.
9. Reply promptly.
10. Be proactive. Address reader's  questions or concerns in your reply before somebody has to send a new email to ask about them.

Πώς βάζουμε 100 τραγούδια σε ένα CD-R 700 MB !-Maria Skambili Deryneia Famagusta Cyprus

Η πιο κάτω διαδικασία γίνεται για να μπουν πάρα πολλά τραγούδια  σε ένα CD-R 700 MB (100+ τραγούδια σε ένα μόνο cd).

Προϋπόθεση: Τα τραγούδια είναι όλα σε μορφή .mp3 και όχι σε άλλο οποιοδήποτε audio format.

Τα προγράμματα που θα χρησιμοποιήσουμε είναι:

1. Windows Media Player 11

2. Nero Media Home (Freeware): το πρόγραμμα αυτό είναι freeware και υπάρχει στην ιστοσελίδα http://www.nero.com/eng/products/nero-mediahome/why-download-nero-mediahome.php

1η Περίπτωση- Τα τραγούδια υπάρχουν σε playlist και στην library του pc μας: Σε αυτή την περίπτωση μπορούμε να κάνουμε burn τα τραγούδια σε cd με το Nero Media Home.

2η περίπτωση- Τα τραγούδια υπάρχουν σε cd :

 Σε αυτή την περίπτωση πρέπει να γίνουν δύο βήματα: α.) μεταφορά των τραγουδιών από το cd στο pc μας (κάνουμε rip τα τραγούδια). Στο Windows Media Player 11 δεν υπάρχει Rip button αλλά πρέπει να γίνει η ακόλουθη διαδικασία: Από το Μενού Organise -> Tools->Options-> πάμε στην καρτέλα Rip Music και κάνουμε τις ανάλογες ρυθμίσεις για το πότε γίνονται rip τα τραγούδια (Rip automatically), την ποιότητα των τραγουδιών (low quality, better quality, best quality). Πατάμε το OK. 

Εισάγουμε το cd με τα τραγούδια. Επιλέγουμε στο View Mode-> Playing Now. Εμφανίζεται ένα μικρό εικονίδιο στα δεξιά που όταν μετακινήσουμε τον cursor μας πάνω του εμφανίζεται "Rip Music". Τα τραγούδια γίνονται Rip και φυλάσσονται σε ένα φάκελο στον σκληρό μας δίσκο.Κλείνουμε τον Windows Media Player. β.)Ανοίγουμε το Nero Media Home και επιλέγουμε την δημιουργία δίσκου MP3. 

Επιλέγουμε τα τραγούδια και τα κάνουμε burn στο cd μας.
