What is a Hi-Fi system?-Technics hifi Technics hifi, Hifi music system, Audio design-Maria Skambili Deryneia Famagusta Cyprus

 -What is a Hi-Fi system?

A Hi-Fi system is usually defined as a stereo system consisting of two identical loudspeakers and a playback device. Home cinema systems consist of at least six speakers (5.1) and reproduce surround sound. Home cinema systems require a precise balance between receiver cut-off frequency and speaker characteristics.

-Why is Hi-Fi so expensive?
Mostly it's because the people who design and build high-end components are not trying to build a product that sells at a price- point that their marketing research tells them is the 'sweet spot' for that particular category. They're instead trying to build something unique, a product they'd like to own themselves.

-Do they still make Hi-Fi systems?

Home stereo systems may not be as popular as they used to be 10 or 20 years ago but they are still here and the market has a lot to offer. Today's home stereo systems have all the features you would expect from a modern audio device. They have Bluetooth, USB ports for music playback, AM and FM radio tuners, CD players.

-What is the difference between Hi-Fi and HD?

A high-fidelity sound system meets subjective standards and reproduces sound accurately. A high-definition audio system supports the latest digital audio formats and creates an immersive experience. The two are related, but aren't interchangeable.

-Is Hi-Fi better than stereo?
One of the major differences between hi-fi and home stereo electronics is the speakers. Hi-fi speakers are designed to handle most, if not all, of the frequencies that your music contains. This means that you will need fewer speakers to get the full sound that was intended by the artist in the recording studio.
